Patrol Y61
Fifth Generation Y61 (1997-2016): Introduced in December 1997, the Y61 4x4 models offered a range of engine options, along with notable drivetrain improvements and enhanced off-road capabilities.
GU IV Onwards (2005): A significant 2005 facelift addressed ZD30 diesel engine issues, enhancing the Y61's 4x4 performance. While discontinued globally in 2014, it continued in select regions competing with the Toyota Land Cruiser.
Special Editions: Different regions introduced unique trims and 4x4 accessories for the Y61. The Y61 remains in use by the United Nations, military, and government sectors for various 4x4 off-road purposes.
